well, I'm alive-just ramblings

Hello, to those of you who are still a follower; that number could go down before I post this. It seems to change daily. Not that I check it daily or anything.
I'm just saying.
But, I'm checking in to say, I am alive.
Barely.
Barely, because my fibromyalgia is kicking my butt.
You'd think it'd be the diabetes.
But so far, that's good.
Or manageable, whatever you want to call it. It's certainly not going away.
And the best part, I'm losing weight.
Lots of it.
Down 4 sizes.
Since January.
Oh, I'm not complaining.
But I'm tired.
Couldn't be because of all the things I do everyday.
Or that I'm old and getting older by the minute.
That is if you consider half a century old.
'Cause I do.
Especially today, when my legs and arms are on fire from the pain.
But hey, did I tell ya I'm losing weight?
At any rate, I promise I'm still alive.
I promise that I still think about you all.
Well, except those that quit following me.
'Cause they probably don't think about me.
I am going to come back to your pages.
I promise you.
Because I miss reading about what's going on in your lives.
I really do.

In the mean time. Watch this cat. It'll give ya something to laugh about today.
Cause this sure ain't funny!

Let the whole wide world rejoice!

"Easter is the celebration of the free gift of immortality given to all men, restoring life and healing all wounds. Though all will die as part of the eternal plan of growth and development, nevertheless we can all find comfort in the Psalmist’s statement, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Ps. 30:5.)."

Father, thy will be done.

"Thy will be done" by Del Parson
Gethsemane

The Savior’s farewell words end with the beautiful Intercessory Prayer, sometimes called the great high priestly prayer, wherein Jesus prayed that His disciples “be one” as He and the Father are one (see John 17). Following this prayer, Jesus retired to a garden on the slopes of the Mount of Olives, where He began the process of Atonement by which this prayer could be answered. There, in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lord offered another prayer, during which He suffered such agony that He sweat great drops of blood (see Luke 22:44). Somehow Jesus took upon Himself the weight of our sins and sorrows.

As Elder Bruce R. McConkie (1915–1985) testified:

“We do not know, we cannot tell, no mortal mind can conceive, the full import of what Christ did in Gethsemane. …

“We know that in some way, incomprehensible to us, his suffering satisfied the demands of justice, ransomed penitent souls from the pains and penalties of sin, and made mercy available to those who believe in his holy name.”

Reflecting upon what Jesus did in Gethsemane deepens our love for Him. In making us “one” with God, Jesus not only saves us from sin and death but also heals us.

what I do while twin is sick in bed

Twin is here-at my house. She's been here for over a week now. We've been so busy neither of us have had much time to read blogs or blog. Today is the first day we've been home since she's been here. Want to know why we're home today and not out and about?
Because this is twin right now.

She's laid up on my LR couch with a heat pack on her head. She's got a massive headache that's she's had since last evening. We've tried everything-popping pills, heat packs, drinking some caffeine from my diet soda, and sleep. Lots of it. It's not working yet. Dang it. I hate it too because today is supposed to be her last day here with me for a while. I had plans today for us and they didn't include her laying on the couch sick.

So, what am I do to when she's sick? Here's a list of things I've done and will do since she's sick today to try to entertain myself.

  1. Slept in late
  2. Do laundry-YUCK
  3. Make out a bank deposit
  4. Search Youtube for American Idol videos
  5. Search Itunes for American Idol songs
  6. Write emails
  7. Posted two posts on my blog
  8. Laid down with my grandson to get him to sleep
  9. Made out my menu for Easter Sunday
  10. Talked to my DH on the phone 4 times, along with other people
  11. Search Google for images to post
  12. Listened to my voice mail on my cell phone
  13. Texted my son
  14. Checked work emails
  15. Fed the cat
  16. Talked to the mailman in the yard

Oh and there's more I could tell ya; as if this list isn't already boring enough. I'll spare those details for ya.

You're welcome.

Pray for her would ya. I want her to feel better for one, and two, I'm going to have to start doing more cleaning if she doesn't soon feel better.

And you and I both know that's bad.

Really bad if it comes down to that.

Not to mention boring.

Mad world

If you missed American Idol last night-you missed one of the best nights so far.
Many of the 8 finalists were good even great I would venture to say; those that stand out to me where Danny, Allison, Matt, and Anoop. But my very favorite was Adam. I've loved him from the beginning-some songs better than others-but this one, this one last night was my ALL time favorite. I will be buying this song on Itunes. By the way, I did a search on youtube.com for the original song by Tears for Fears and I have to say, I love Adam's version so much more!
What do you think about this song and Adam?
