Haven't said much this week.

Give you the scoop, the skinny, the low down.
Ready!
Here's the scoop!
My new boss is such a nice man. I have talked to him many times this week on the phone and through emails. He hasn't gotten to my state yet; he doesn't come till mid July, but through emails and phone calls he has helped me plan the meeting tomorrow. Well, this week I found out some neat personal things about him and his family. First, his wife is a PROFESSIONAL photographer. I am not talking about ANY kind of photographer, A PROFESSIONAL photographer. I saw some of the BEST pictures I have ever seen in my life that she took. I mean, like I bet she could make someone LIKE ME look good! SERIOUSLY, she's that good!! Well, while I gooing over the pictures she took, I see a picture of my boss. He's holding a book. I think nothing of it. The other night as I am showing these pictures of his family to my DH, I decide to R-E-A-D the post below the picture. HE WROTE a PAPER that was PUBLISHED in a BOOK. He's a PUSLISHED AUTHOR. EXACTLY, I say...exactly. I am feeling about 2 inches tall at this time...because while I was looking at the picture of HIM the first time, he happened to be on the phone as I was scrolling through the pages of his wife's blog page...and I say something like, "Oh there's a picture of you holding a book". "Nice picture". And I move on. HE NEVER STOPPED ME TO SAY, LOOK AT WHAT THAT SAYS. I HAVE NO IDEA IF HE WOULD HAVE EVER TOLD ME IF I HAD NOT FIGURED THAT OUT ON MY OWN! That's the scoop!
Here's the skinny!
Ok, so I found this WONDERFUL-WONDERFUL, did I say WONDERFUL, bread place this week. Did I mention it was WONDERFUL? They have a name and a website. It's called the Breadbasket. You can go there and order stuff online. They will ship it to you! Let me tell you, the Sour Dough Bread is to D-I-E for! I HATE SOUR DOUGH BREAD! The first time I had this bread from this place, I told my DH, there is NO way this is Sour Dough Bread. (He had a client bring him a loaf of it.) My DH said, "well that's what he told me". So, the same client came in again the other day and had him TWO loaves of the bread...one Whole Wheat (which I am not a Whole Wheat eater)-so that leaves more for my DH and a Sour Dough FOR ME. I have HID the thing from my family. Did you hear me...HID IT! REMEMBER I HATE SOUR DOUGH BREAD! Tomorrow I am having that business meeting and I was in charge of getting lunch and dessert for the group of 20. I got my son to go to this place today in my town and here's what he picked up for me:
For my office he got me:
- A Strawberry Cake
- 1 dozen chocolate cookies
- 1 dozen lemon cookies
For my home he got me:
- An Italian Cream Cake
- 3 Blueberry muffins
- 3 Puffin Muffins (cinnamon cake style)
- 1 LOAF OF SOUR DOUGH BREAD
So, if you want to gain some weight have some good bread and goodies, get them to ship you something! Try the SOUR DOUGH BREAD! You won't be disappointed!
The Low Down
My boss-he had surgery on Tuesday of this week to remove a perirectal abscess. Remember he has has the Epstein-barr virus, mono, and a prostrate infection as well. It will be 3 weeks this coming Monday that he has been bedridden. He's fought fever and chills. He has barely been able to eat the last couple weeks. He has had problems with his kidneys and his bowels. It's just been so sad. Yesterday he told his wife that he felt some better. One time when she called me, I could hear his voice-very faintly, but I heard it! He has eaten some meals the last few days and has been able to use the restroom! This is great news. He still has a fever. He is still in a great deal of pain still. He is still not able to get up and walk. I am not sure when he will be released from the hospital yet or how much longer this will go on...but for now I am happy with any good news about him.
Update: HE IS HOME!
So, that's the scoop, the skinny, the low down of my week!
