Dearest Children, God is near you
1. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest
in the kingdom of heaven.
2. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my aname receiveth me.
3. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
4. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
5. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
6. And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and become as a little child, and be baptized in my name, or ye can in nowise receive these things.
7. And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and be baptized in my name, and become as a little child, or ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God.

It's her birthday!
I have been waiting since January
(that's the last time I got to see her and when this picture was taken of her) to write this post and I
almost let the day go by without writing it.
Meet Tonita, pronounced, (Toe-neat-a). This woman is one of the nicest, sweetest, kindest, happiest, friendliest, cousins, grandmothers, and an ex-mother-in-laws, the world has ever known. I met her 30 years ago when her oldest son brought me home to met his family. She was as sweet to me on that day as she is to me this day. She has been the best grandmother and great grandmother to my children and grandchildren that they could ever have. She has treated all of my children, although not all of them are her biological offspring, exactly the same. She has loved them all with every fiber of her being. How grateful I am that the Lord brought our paths together. After 28 years of knowing her as my children's grandmother, and my ex husbands mother, I found out that she is my 4th cousin! It's funny that moving 2000 miles from home, meeting her son, marrying him, having two children by him, and then divorcing, moving back home, I find out that not only is she my 4th cousin, her husband, my ex father-in-law, is my 6th cousin, which makes my ex husband my 7th cousin! One stranger than that is, my two girls by my ex are my 7th cousins, once removed!
Who would have EVERY dreamed that I would find all of that out 30 years ago when I met her?
At any rate, I wish her a very happy happy happy birthday. How thankful there are such good people like her in the world and that I just got lucky enough to be in her family.

I have no explanation...
My husband left to visit his brother yesterday, who lives near the NC coast. He said they were going fishing. Today my son, Courtland, sent this picture to me. I have NO idea what's going on!
This is my DH at his brother's house.

Some pictures for your enjoyment!

This picture is of my twin, she looks a lot like me.
A picture of her from the year 1996!
I love this picture of my niece, Anica. This was her in 1966.

This one is my youngest daughter, Cathryn. Even though she is only 23, this picture was her in 1958!
This has been so fun! You should try it if you haven't already.

Sears Catalog
Two rednecks were looking at a Sears catalog and admiring the models.
One says to the other, 'Have you seen the beautiful girls in this catalog?'
The second one replies, 'Yes, they are very beautiful. And look at the price!'
The first one says, with wide eyes, 'Wow, they aren't very expensive. At this price, I'm buying one.'
The second one smiles and pats him on the back. 'Good idea! Order one and if she's as beautiful as she is in the catalog, I will get one too.'
Three weeks later, the youngest redneck asks his friend, 'Did you ever receive the girl you ordered from the Sears catalog?'
The second redneck replies, 'No, but it shouldn't be long now. I got her clothes yesterday!'

FACIAL HAIR CRIMES AWARD 1996
Merciless in tracking down this year's recipient, Remington has just announced the 1996 candidates for the award - and backed them up with undisputable photographic evidence of their unquestionable bad taste in beards, moustaches and all things hopelessly furry.
Without splitting hairs (George Michael's latest chin wig almost made him a second-time winner), here are the disgraced finalists:
1. Gary from Supergrass

Looking more like the human/gorrilla hybrid from the BBC's "First Born" drama, Gazza has tickled Remington's fancy with his vain attempt at cultivating a trendy face wig.
His fluffy sideburns make him look like a 13-year-old schoolboy in desperate need of a good wash - or a Remington Dual Foil shaver.
2. Liam Gallagher

Pop star life excesses have undoubtedly gone to "man behaving badly" Liam's head - or more specifically his face. Is our Liam the world's hairiest man? Check out those eyebrows.
Well, it obviously gets Patsy Kensit bristling with excitement - or maybe she's already put the Remington Hygenic Clipper for wayward ear, eyebrow and nasal hair at the top of the Romeo's Christmas shopping list.
3. Robert de Niro

Who told Bob that the David Bellamy look was "in" this year? Looks like he might even have found that wiry face hair down among the 'shwubberwy'.
4. Nicholas Cage

Wild at Heart Nicholas Cage adds 10 years to his age with his little number. He obviously feels the need to over-compensate where he can, considering his follicly-challenged bonce.
He could always get a transplant using Gary's side-burns. Now there's a thought...
5. Kenneth Branagh

Laurence Olivier may be the inspiration for Kenneth Branagh's acting ability but his talents with a beard trimmer would not get him beyond the second act.
So who out of this motley crew gets your vote?
